DESCRIPTION:Pori Sinfonietta’s traditional Porin Päivä concert is\, this year\, a concert featuring young soloists. No fewer than 14 young musicians will be taking part\, all of whom were selected for the concert following auditions in spring 2026. The musicians range in age from 7 to 18\, and the instruments featured include the violin\, cello\, guitar\, piano\, trumpet\, accordion\, trombone and flute.\n\nEach soloist will perform a piece or movement of a concerto of their choice with the Pori Sinfonietta. The concert will be conducted by Chief Conductor Erkki Lasonpalo.\n\nThe concert’s soloists are pupils from the Palmgren Conservatoire\, Rauma Music School\, Huittinen Music School and Vakka-Suomi Music School.\n\nBefore the concert begins\, a performance by students of the Palmgren Conservatoire\, entitled ‘Aulasoitto’\, will take place in the foyer of the Promenadisali.
