Introducing the ‘Traces of Industry – Baltic’s Past and Future’ project
How do industry and its traces feature in your everyday life? And what traces of industry are we leaving behind in this day and age?
We invite the people of Pori to our project centre to reflect on the traces of industry around us and to share how they are visible and present in our everyday lives. Porin Päivä On Saturday 26 September, from 12 noon to 4 pm, at the Satakunta Museum, we will be presenting the ‘Traces of Industry’ theme as part of the Baltic’s Past and Future project, which is just getting under way, under the theme ‘Traces of Industry’, as well as the programme of events to be held this autumn, such as a photography collection.
‘Baltic’s Past and Future’ is a project funded by the European Union’s Citizenship, Equality, Fundamental Rights and Values (CERV) programme, which aims to create more sustainable, more inclusive and more beautiful shared spaces. The project forms part of the European Commission’s New European Bauhaus initiative.
