Pori, the market square and the wicker basket!
It’s that time of year again to come together and celebrate our beloved Pori! The traditional Porin Päivä Market fills the pedestrianised street and market square with the flavours and aromas of Pori, music and a warm, friendly atmosphere.
Amidst the hustle and bustle of the market, you’ll find Pori specialities, shopping opportunities and, of course, friends and familiar faces. Something new, something old, but definitely Pori-style – something for every sense. Market hours at the market square are 9 am–3 pm, and on the pedestrian street 9 am–6 pm.
This is where you experience Pori.

We invite the people of Pori to our project centre to reflect on the traces of industry around us and to share how they are visible and present in our everyday lives. Porin Päivä On Saturday 26 September, from 12 noon to 4 pm, at the Satakunta Museum, we will be presenting the ‘Traces of Industry’ theme as part of the Baltic’s Past and Future project, which is just getting under way, under the theme ‘Traces of Industry’, as well as the programme of events to be held this autumn, such as a photography collection.
