The ‘Fading Colours’ exhibition

Venue: Itä-Porin lähipalvelukeskus·Address: Herralahdenraitti 2·Organiser: Lastenkulttuurikeskus Kruunupää

Exploring the colours and materials in The Experiential Colour Workshop for Babies is exciting. How do you make paint that pleases the eye, the fingers and the surface being painted? The question is whether the paint retains its colour, fades or even changes completely. On display are works from The Experiential Colour Workshop for Babies workshops for babies aged 4–11 months, as well as trays created from these works, on which the colour tones have been preserved exactly as they were immediately after completion. Admission to the exhibition is free on weekdays during the health centre’s opening hours, and it is organised by the Kruunupää Centre for Children’s Culture.

100 Years of the Pori Bridge: Original bridge drawings on display

Venue: Satakunnan Museo·Address: Hallituskatu 11·Organiser: Satakunnan museo

Porin Päivä Saturday 26 September 2026 will mark exactly one hundred years since the opening of the Pori Bridge. To mark this anniversary, the Satakunta Museum will be exhibiting original bridge drawings during the Pori Days festival; these were produced for the Pori Bridge design competition in 1924. Among the items on display is the winning entry from the competition, which was, however, never realised.

The bridge drawings are on display next to the Taavi Stage at the Satakunta Museum from Thursday to Sunday, 24–27 September. The Taavi Stage will also be screening the film *Pori’s New Bridge*, which was completed in 1926, the year the bridge was opened.
